Where it fits

Along the bottom of a rear window, a bumper, a tailgate or the top of a cargo door. Any hard, smooth surface takes a decal: glass, paint, metal, hard plastic. Read how to apply a vinyl decal before it goes on.

How it goes on

  1. Wash the spot with soapy water, dry it, then wipe it with rubbing alcohol.
  2. Tape the decal across its middle, step back and check it sits level.
  3. Peel one half of the backing, press from the tape outward with a card, then do the other half.
  4. Peel the top sheet back on itself, slowly and close to the surface.

About this design

Thin script on top, bold block below

Two lettering styles share this line. "Bad Cop" is written in a thin, slanted brush script with hooked, looping capitals, and "No Donut" sits beneath it in heavy, rounded block capitals that run the full width. The block line reads from well behind you on the road. The script above is lighter and shows best within a few car lengths.

Low on your back glass, below the wiper's sweep, the block line reads from the next lane and the script above it rewards the car right behind. Fans of an old one-liner will like having two kinds of lettering do the talking.

Before it goes on glass

Keep any decal off the windshield. On the rear window, California, Texas and Florida tie a decal to outside mirrors on both sides, New York bars stickers its DMV commissioner has not authorized, and your own state may differ, so read its vehicle code.
