Where it fits

A laptop lid, a toolbox, a rear window corner or a gear case. Any hard, smooth surface takes a decal: glass, paint, metal, hard plastic. Read how to apply a vinyl decal before it goes on.

How it goes on

  1. Wash the spot with soapy water, dry it, then wipe it with rubbing alcohol.
  2. Tape the decal across its middle, step back and check it sits level.
  3. Peel one half of the backing, press from the tape outward with a card, then do the other half.
  4. Peel the top sheet back on itself, slowly and close to the surface.

About this design

A walking bear wearing deer antlers

Side on, a bear walks to the left, drawn as one heavy silhouette with a broad hump and four planted legs. On its head sits a full rack of deer antlers, the tines drawn as thin curving branches. Under its feet, "Beer?" is set in chunky slab-serif capitals. The body and the word carry from across a campground, and the antler points come clear close up.

The cooler that rides in your truck bed to camp has the right lid for it, center front. You hunt, fish or camp? Then you know the bear with a rack of antlers is a joke that needs a second look, and the question underneath answers itself.

Before it goes on glass

Keep any decal off the windshield. On the rear window, California, Texas and Florida tie a decal to outside mirrors on both sides, New York bars stickers its DMV commissioner has not authorized, and your own state may differ, so read its vehicle code.
