Where it fits

A side window, the quarter glass behind a door, a tumbler or a water bottle. Any hard, smooth surface takes a decal: glass, paint, metal, hard plastic. Read how to apply a vinyl decal before it goes on.

How it goes on

  1. Wash the spot with soapy water, dry it, then wipe it with rubbing alcohol.
  2. Tape the decal across its middle, step back and check it sits level.
  3. Peel one half of the backing, press from the tape outward with a card, then do the other half.
  4. Peel the top sheet back on itself, slowly and close to the surface.

About this design

A kneeling figure at prayer

A man kneels in profile with his hands pressed together in front of his chin, head slightly raised and short hair drawn with a ruffled edge. The whole figure is one solid silhouette with no inner lines at all, so the outline does all the work. It reads clearly from far off, and the folded hands are easy to pick out.

Standing upright in a narrow rear side window, the figure kneels the way you might before a long drive. It is a sign of prayer on the car that needs no words, for anyone who keeps that habit.

Before it goes on glass

Keep any decal off the windshield. On the rear window, California, Texas and Florida tie a decal to outside mirrors on both sides, New York bars stickers its DMV commissioner has not authorized, and your own state may differ, so read its vehicle code.
