Where it fits

A side window, the quarter glass behind a door, a tumbler or a water bottle. Any hard, smooth surface takes a decal: glass, paint, metal, hard plastic. Read how to apply a vinyl decal before it goes on.

How it goes on

  1. Wash the spot with soapy water, dry it, then wipe it with rubbing alcohol.
  2. Tape the decal across its middle, step back and check it sits level.
  3. Peel one half of the backing, press from the tape outward with a card, then do the other half.
  4. Peel the top sheet back on itself, slowly and close to the surface.

About this design

Destruction in two heavy kanji

Set in a column, the characters 破壊 are drawn in a heavy brush style, with fat strokes, sharp tapering tails and small enclosed openings cut into each one. The upper character leans on a long sweeping stroke at the right, the lower one ends in a wide kicked-out foot. Both are solid enough to read from across the street, and the small inner gaps show as you come close.

Run it down the narrow pillar glass behind your driver's door. Lifters, fighters and riders of loud machines like a single word that says so without spelling it out in English, and these two characters do exactly that.

Before it goes on glass

Keep any decal off the windshield. On the rear window, California, Texas and Florida tie a decal to outside mirrors on both sides, New York bars stickers its DMV commissioner has not authorized, and your own state may differ, so read its vehicle code.
