Where it fits

A side window, the quarter glass behind a door, a tumbler or a water bottle. Any hard, smooth surface takes a decal: glass, paint, metal, hard plastic. Read how to apply a vinyl decal before it goes on.

How it goes on

  1. Wash the spot with soapy water, dry it, then wipe it with rubbing alcohol.
  2. Tape the decal across its middle, step back and check it sits level.
  3. Peel one half of the backing, press from the tape outward with a card, then do the other half.
  4. Peel the top sheet back on itself, slowly and close to the surface.

About this design

The Capricorn sign in three characters

Three characters, 山羊座, stand in a single column in a brush style with blunt stroke ends and a sweeping left tail on the last character. The top character is a simple three-pronged shape, and the middle one is crossed by long horizontal strokes. Each is solid and well spaced, so the column reads clearly from a distance.

Born under Capricorn? Put the column on a phone case or a tumbler you carry daily, characters stacked as they are drawn. It shows your sign in a quieter way than a goat cartoon would, and those who read kanji will catch it.

Before it goes on glass

Keep any decal off the windshield. On the rear window, California, Texas and Florida tie a decal to outside mirrors on both sides, New York bars stickers its DMV commissioner has not authorized, and your own state may differ, so read its vehicle code.
