Where it fits

A laptop lid, a toolbox, a rear window corner or a gear case. Any hard, smooth surface takes a decal: glass, paint, metal, hard plastic. Read how to apply a vinyl decal before it goes on.

How it goes on

  1. Wash the spot with soapy water, dry it, then wipe it with rubbing alcohol.
  2. Tape the decal across its middle, step back and check it sits level.
  3. Peel one half of the backing, press from the tape outward with a card, then do the other half.
  4. Peel the top sheet back on itself, slowly and close to the surface.

About this design

A twenty-sided die showing 20

Split into triangular faces, the die shows a large 20 on the center face, set in clean rounded numerals. Smaller hand-lettered numbers sit on the faces around it, some upside down or turned on their side the way they would be on a real die. The gaps between faces read from a distance. The small numbers need a closer look.

Roll for placement: the lid of the box you carry to game night wins. The faces stay crisp on a flat plastic top. New players, old hands and the one running the campaign behind the screen all count a d20 as their own.

Before it goes on glass

Keep any decal off the windshield. On the rear window, California, Texas and Florida tie a decal to outside mirrors on both sides, New York bars stickers its DMV commissioner has not authorized, and your own state may differ, so read its vehicle code.
