Where it fits

A laptop lid, a toolbox, a rear window corner or a gear case. Any hard, smooth surface takes a decal: glass, paint, metal, hard plastic. Read how to apply a vinyl decal before it goes on.

How it goes on

  1. Wash the spot with soapy water, dry it, then wipe it with rubbing alcohol.
  2. Tape the decal across its middle, step back and check it sits level.
  3. Peel one half of the backing, press from the tape outward with a card, then do the other half.
  4. Peel the top sheet back on itself, slowly and close to the surface.

About this design

A wide-eyed creature tearing through

Two round eyes stare out of a pointed, almond-shaped tear, and four clawed fingers grip each side of the opening as if something is pulling the panel apart from inside. The torn flaps curl back in long, thin slivers. The solid center and the eyes read from far off, while the fine curled edges of the rip show best up close.

Low on your tailgate, it looks like something is climbing out of the bed to get a look at the car behind. Kids in the back seat of that car will point. Monster fans and anyone with a playful truck will get a kick out of it.

Before it goes on glass

Keep any decal off the windshield. On the rear window, California, Texas and Florida tie a decal to outside mirrors on both sides, New York bars stickers its DMV commissioner has not authorized, and your own state may differ, so read its vehicle code.
