Where it fits

A rear window corner, a toolbox lid, a cooler side or a laptop lid. Any hard, smooth surface takes a decal: glass, paint, metal, hard plastic. Read how to apply a vinyl decal before it goes on.

How it goes on

  1. Wash the spot with soapy water, dry it, then wipe it with rubbing alcohol.
  2. Tape the decal across its middle, step back and check it sits level.
  3. Peel one half of the backing, press from the tape outward with a card, then do the other half.
  4. Peel the top sheet back on itself, slowly and close to the surface.

About this design

A grand piano with its lid open

Lid propped open, a grand piano stands in profile with its curved tail to the right and a small bench set at the keyboard end. Thin cut lines around the pedals are the only fine details. Everything else is solid, so the piano reads clearly from across a room or a parking lot.

Music binders get carried to every lesson, and the cover is a good flat place for the piano, tail curving to the right. Pianists, teachers and students who practice every day can put it there, or on the corner of a laptop used for sheet music.

Before it goes on glass

Keep any decal off the windshield. On the rear window, California, Texas and Florida tie a decal to outside mirrors on both sides, New York bars stickers its DMV commissioner has not authorized, and your own state may differ, so read its vehicle code.
