Where it fits

A rear window corner, a toolbox lid, a cooler side or a laptop lid. Any hard, smooth surface takes a decal: glass, paint, metal, hard plastic. Read how to apply a vinyl decal before it goes on.

How it goes on

  1. Wash the spot with soapy water, dry it, then wipe it with rubbing alcohol.
  2. Tape the decal across its middle, step back and check it sits level.
  3. Peel one half of the backing, press from the tape outward with a card, then do the other half.
  4. Peel the top sheet back on itself, slowly and close to the surface.

About this design

Shotgun gauge inside a classic oval

Two thin rings outline a Euro oval, and inside it a shotgun shell lies on its side, drawn as an open band with the rim on the left. "12ga" sits in the middle of the shell in thick rounded type, solid letters standing inside the open shell. The lettering is large for the oval, so the gauge reads plainly from a few cars back.

Your range bag has a flat end panel that never gets anything on it. Give it the 12ga oval, centered so the shell lies level, and the bag stops looking like every other one at the trap house. Good for you if you shoot clays on weekends or walk fields for pheasant every fall.

Before it goes on glass

Keep any decal off the windshield. On the rear window, California, Texas and Florida tie a decal to outside mirrors on both sides, New York bars stickers its DMV commissioner has not authorized, and your own state may differ, so read its vehicle code.
